To The Editor:
This has been a hard year for Moretown. The flood was terrible and many folks are still recovering. I have been so impressed with how we, as a community, have stuck together and done so much for each other.
In the first weeks after the storm, I will always remember our newest select board members, Tom Martin and Clark Amadon, stepping up to the plate and demonstrating true leadership. They earned my respect and my support in our next election. As first constable, I had many dealings with Tom in particular. While I did not know him before the storm, I now know his character. Tom maintained a cool head, made those calls that needed to be made and was on top of everything during our hour of crisis.
This Town Meeting Day I urge you to come be part of this important event. Please consider giving Tom and Clark your support too.
