To The Editor:

Last week Valley Viewpoint posed the question: "Who was the best U.S. president?" Since the jury on President Obama will be out for quite awhile, I would submit the name Franklin Roosevelt who got us through the Depression and World War II. Remarkably, there are still people today who hate him. Such is the mentality (or lack thereof) of the right-wing crazies.
