Since Bridge Street is the prime focal point of Waitsfield and this is such a long-range long-lasting plan which includes reducing the impact of flooding, the complete rebuilding of the bridge support system, the stormwater control under Bridge Street plus a complete rebuild of the road and sidewalks, I think the town should also consider the streetscape. The removal of the three power poles on the narrow sidewalks and the wires would be a huge visible improvement to the most traveled and photographed road in our town.

Bridge Street is really unique in that it is a living, very active museum.
