Need people in Montpelier like Vach

 To The Editor:
Anthony Vach, running for the Vermont House of Representatives, has earned my respect. Over the past few weeks, Tony has demonstrated common sense, an even temperament, and he has been right on target in terms of the issues we need our representatives to be focused on. Getting our economy back on track has got to be our number-one priority.

With our jobs and economy on the line, we need someone who's on our side 100 percent of the time. Anthony Vach is also right that we need to do more to keep our children safe from sexual predators. Now that the details have come out about Brooke Bennett's horrific kidnapping, rape and murder, it's clear that there is more that can be and should be done, including an expanded sex offender registry and aggressive community notification of who these people are and where they live, and civil confinement. There is no more time for excuses and foot dragging by a Legislature that is out of touch. Mr. Vach's ideas on these issues have been straightforward.

We need more people in Montpelier like Anthony Vach. I hope you will join me in voting for Anthony Vach on November 4.
