A proven track record

 To The Editor:

While Anthony Pollina appears to be making a strong showing for governor around the state, it is really important for those of us who truly want to defeat Jim Douglas to vote for Gaye Symington to bring about the jobs and positive changes that are being spearheaded nationally by Barack Obama.

Symington has a proven track record on health care, the environment, energy and education as speaker of the House of Representatives, and has only been stymied by Governor Douglas' veto, or threat of a veto, on so many important issues.

Our economy is in the pits, thanks to Governor Douglas; and Anthony Pollina, while a great advocate/organizer on the outside, has no governmental or real administrative experience to carry out his ideas. Vote Symington and Obama for real change in Vermont and our nation so that splitting the liberal vote will not give us Douglas for yet another term. Vermonters, too, are ready for a real change at the top!
