Golden wins Vermont high school tennis championship

Harwood senior Mariel Golden won the Vermont high school girls’ individual tennis championship at Stowe on Sunday, May 29.

Golden won five matches in straight sets to win 6-1, 6-2 in the final against Samantha Wulfson of South Burlington.
Last year Golden placed second in singles; she will attend the University of Vermont nursing school in the fall.
