Travis Perkins cited on multiple charges

On April 15, 2013, the Vermont State Police began an investigation into an alleged armed robbery at Mac's Market located on Route 100 in the town of Warren. That investigation directed law enforcement to focus on Travis Perkins, age 34, of Waitsfield and his girlfriend, Elizabeth Chase, age 34, also of Waitsfield. Chase was working as a clerk at Mac's Market at the time of the incident.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined the armed robbery was a planned event between Chase, Perkins and a third party who will remain unnamed at this time.

On June 20, 2013, members of the Vermont State Police Uniform and Bureau of Criminal Investigation Units executed a search warrant at Perkins and Chase's residence located in the town of Waitsfield for the sale and distribution of narcotics. Perkins was taken into custody and transported to the Middlesex State Police Barracks for processing. Perkins was lodged at Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in Burlington for lack of $50,000 bail. Perkins was scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court on Friday, June 21, at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charges of Larceny, First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault – two counts, Attempt to Suborn and Interference with Access to Emergency Services, Sale of Narcotics – three counts.

The continued investigation into Perkins led to the charges of two counts of First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault as Perkins is alleged to have physically assaulted two separate adult female victims on at least two separate occasions. The investigation is ongoing. The state police are asking anyone who may have information pertaining to Perkins and Chase to call (802) 229-9191, or to submit an anonymous tip simply text "CRIMES" (274637) to Keyword: VTIPS.
