Returning to Vermont he worked several years for Arbortech Nursery and then, most recently, he operated his own stonewall construction business until declining health forced his retirement.
His memberships included the National Street Rod Association. In his leisure time he enjoyed restoring cars and manufacturing street rods, collecting model cars, fishing and spending time with friends and family, especially his granddaughter, Isabella.
