To All of Dick's beloved family: My deepest prayers and sympathies to all of you children, grandchildren and the great grandchild. Dick was 10 years older than I when he at 28 was my outstanding English student teacher at YHS. In the last several years we began email correspondence and some phone contact thru his and Emily's challenging times. I have so fondly remembered, respected and loved this extraordinary human being who always impressed me with his love of his family, students and the communities of which he was such an integral part. I thought I knew him relatively well until I read his Obituaries. I will deeply, deeply miss him for all that he meant to me and the thousands of other souls whome he impacted through his many, many diverse efforts, viz. the gifts he gave of his life. We and our worlds are all the better for him having lived among us.
God bless him and all of you who knew, loved and mourn him.
