Walter was a founding member and past president of the Warren Alpine Village Association and helped engineer the roadways of the community. Walter enjoyed alpine skiing, especially at Mad River Glen and Sugarbush. He instilled a love of skiing, snowmobiling and hiking in his children and grandchildren. He supported many annual work days at the club and was eager to engineer various maintenance projects to help for a smooth season. Walter was an accomplished auto mechanic and serviced his family’s many vehicles at his home garage. Walter was a member of the Congregational Church in South Glastonbury.
