The Waitsfield Elementary School will serve as the guest school at the annual student art show at Helen Day Art Center in Stowe, May 3 through 27. An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, May 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. For more information visit www.helenday.com/student-art-show. Empty Bowls Dinner
The Empty Bowls Dinner will take place on Thursday, May 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Gate House Lodge at Sugarbush. Attendees can support the effort to raise awareness about hunger and food insecurity while eating food from around the world served in ceramic bowls by the staff and students of the Fayston Elementary School. Fayston students have worked with local potter Leslie Montalto to learn about ceramics and create bowls on the potter's wheel and with hand-building techniques.
