Ski racing club plans season

The Sugarbush Racing Club will hold its annual membership registration party hosted by the Wunderbar at the Sugarbush Valley House Lodge from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 16. 

The club holds a series of 10 weekly races on Thursdays from 12 to 2 p.m. at the legends Race Arena NASTAR course on Lincoln Peak. Members gather afterward to review results and watch videos of the races at a different "watering hole" every week while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. A "fun race" occurs at the end of the season as well as an awards banquet.

Racers span the gamut between lycra-clad speedsters and those who "speedcheck" to slow down in between gates. The opening race is scheduled for January 3. Come to the first meeting to join for a fun season.
