Mad River Glen's Triple Crown competition series continued last weekend with the Mad River Glen Mogul Challenge on March 20.

Competitors were treated to a spring day with sunshine and a bumper crop of sweet corn snow. The competitors showed off their skills on the trail Chute, directly under Mad River's Single Chair.

The competitors each skied two runs and were scored two-thirds based on skiing and one-third based on air, with the best run counting towards final results. The Mad River Glen freeride team dominated the men's alpine division by sweeping the top six places. Tom Licata of Burlington grabbed the gold, Dylan Dipentima took silver and Carson Barbour snatched bronze.
 
The Sugarbush Diamond Dogs equally dominated the women's division as their coach Ashleigh Bergstrom took home first place followed by fellow coach Liana Sideli. Their 12-year-old protégé, SJ Grundon, finished hard on their heels finishing in third place.
 
The men's telemark division was won by GMVS Nordic coach and former Triple Crown telemark champion Justin Beckwith. Vertical Challenge champion Tim Shepard of Fayston took second place and another former Triple Crown champ, Dave Bouchard of Hinesburg, grabbed the bronze.
