Classes designed for the older learner encourage more seniors to enroll in adult education and literacy programs. Giving these students the option of learning with their peers increases their chance for success -- whether preparing to re-enter the job market, learning to email their grandchildren, or simply mastering the mysteries of today's Internet.

In addition to those coming to CVABE as students, we are grateful to be working with a large cadré of older community members who share their lifetime worth of knowledge with CVABE's students and support our general operations as volunteers.

Older students and volunteers are just part of those who participate in CVABE on a regular basis. CVABE provides free, individualized adult education and literacy instruction to a wide age range of students, currently spanning 16 to 93! Offering programs in basic reading, writing, math, computer skills, high school achievement, workplace skills, and English for speakers of other languages, CVABE encourages everybody, regardless of age, to get involved. We welcome you as a student, a volunteer, a community partner, an advocate. It's never too late!
