Sheepishly, I approached the first Sugarbush employee I say, a guy in a black jacket hauling around some signs. What a break. The guy in the black jacket was Dan, a VP of Operations, who proceeded to tease me along the lines of only someone from Pennsylvania could be this bone-headed. In a male-bonding sort of way, he made me feel better, and then proceeded to solve my problem by arranging for a gallon of gas from maintenance. Now, as VP of Operations on opening day, Dan probably had 100 other problems/responsibilities to take care of at that particular moment in time, yet he was able to solve my problem and send me on the way to a great ski day.

I've skied a lot of places, but I keep coming back to Sugarbush and the Mad River Valley. They both have soul. Thanks, Dan.
