Almost $6,000 in prizes were awarded when Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce announced winners of the 2009 Festival of the Lights contest this week.

All of the prize money is donated to the charity or nonprofit of choice of each winner, and $1,000 is donated to the Mad River Valley Community Fund. Funding is from the Smith Family Foundation.

Winners were announced at a chamber mixer at Timber's at Sugarbush on December 16.

4. $75 Moulton home, Warren
5. $50 Klimek, Waitsfield
