Disturbing act

To The Editor:

I was disturbed to find Sunday morning that someone had trespassed on my private property and removed some signs for some of the Republican candidates. Happily, Jim Parker's sign was left. I noticed this had occurred elsewhere in Warren. No matter where anyone of us stands politically, I would hope that all of us would cherish free speech and the right of each other to express ourselves in an appropriate fashion.

Taking down a sign for a candidate whom one does not support is cowardly and certainly not the American way. The Valley is filled with thoughtful people who may differ and often debate these issues openly, and that is why it is disturbing to have someone perform an act like this.
