Thousands of teenagers are killed annually as a result of alcohol consumption and drug use. Families in our own communities have suffered horrific losses due to drunk driving accidents and drug overdoses.

High school graduation is a time of commemoration and transition for our teens but can also have serious consequences if not approached responsibly. Project Graduation offers a healthy and fun alternative to celebrating this momentous time in our children's lives.

With your support, 2008 Harwood graduates can enjoy an overnight party that will involve several fun activities to celebrate their hard work, friendships and high school memories, all alcohol and drug free. The estimated cost for this evening could be in the $20,000 range to cover costs of transportation, venue fees and food if all 175 students attend, which is certainly our goal. A contribution of $130 will enable one student to participate. We are working very hard to raise these funds through special events and contributions.

Everyone benefits from a safe and healthy community. And, lots of help is needed to make this a memorable, safe occasion for our graduates. Your support in this worthwhile endeavor is respectfully solicited. Please consider sending a business and/or personal contribution to: Project Graduation, P.O. Box 284, Waterbury, VT 05676.

Thank you in advance for supporting this very important program and for being a responsible partner of the "village" that raises our children in a caring, nurturing way.
