To The Editor:
For those many in The Valley who support us and our work, a heads up. Lost Nation Theater in Montpelier is hosting a benefit program next week for Washington County's Circle, formerly Battered Women's Services and Shelter. Running Thursday through Sunday, we receive all proceeds from Vagina Monologues (adults only, obviously), which will be performed by nine actresses, not readings as previously done.
It has raised globally over $75 million so far for programs such as ours, and I can't emphasize its importance right now, with some very large bills for shelter upgrades and repairs, among other things. Tickets may be ordered directly from Lost Nation Theater (229-0492). Whatever support you and friends can give us will be greatly appreciated.
