On Saturday, January 12, the Harwood Union alpine teams competed in a two-run giant slalom at Lincoln Peak. In a 10-team meet, the Harwood girls continued to perform well with a second-place finish to winner Stowe.

The Harwood boys skied two skiers in the meet. Hoby Weston, 10th, and Alec McGlynn, 13th, put together two solid runs for good results.

Sarah Wry led the Harwood girls’ team with a fourth-place finish. From here the team showed great depth by placing six skiers in the top 19.

Callie Anderson, 7th, Sophie Dasaro, 10th, Regan McMann, 13th, Maddie Lowe, 14th, and Ashley McNeish, 19th, all skied well and gave the team a solid result. Maddie McGeorge, 22nd, Isbella Harris, 28th, Mercedes Wooley, 32nd, Anna Belognia, 37th, and Amy Graham, 39th, rounded out the team skiers in the CVU carnival meet.

The teams are off until January 26, when they return to Lincoln Peak for a slalom competition.
