To The Editor:

I've been meaning to say how nicely improved the Mad Path is since I moved back to town. The wooden bridge at the Riverside Park section is impressive, as well as the underpass below Kingsbury Bridge (can it still be called that?). However, the east side of the underpass brings you onto a slope too awkward to traverse on a bike or run on. Tall vegetation is on a flat section where the path should be. A commenter on Front Porch Forum mentioned that giant hogweed grows there. Apparently the sap can cause blindness – another good reason to alter the route with a rototiller.

It's good to know that after all these years my dog and I are still finding new places to go in The Valley. I just won't touch the plants.
