While there are other capable individuals seeking the Democratic nomination, Mike Bloomberg is the candidate to defeat Trump and restore competency to the presidency.
I met Mike in the 1980s. He had an idea for an electronic trading terminal and convinced Merrill Lynch (where I worked) to fund it. Mike built a very successful business that brought transparency to the financial markets. He is an innovative entrepreneur, a principled leader and a genuinely good person.
As mayor, he pulled NYC together after 9/11. He had the courage to take on the NRA over gun control and fossil-fuel industries over climate change. He advocates for education and health care. His generosity is evident in global philanthropy. Mike Bloomberg is beholden to no one and not influenced by special interests. He knows a snake-oil salesman when he sees one and knows how to expose one. He is the real deal and can win.
