To The Editor:
As we approach the end of the 20-21 school year, I am concerned regarding the lack of public information on the hiring process for a new HUUSD superintendent. Such a decision is an extremely important community issue that will have consequences for years to come. I have not seen or heard anything about where this process is, which is worrisome to me as we are so late in the hiring season.
I call on the HUUSD Board to be more transparent regarding where they are in the hiring process, what their hiring criteria have been and whether they intend to provide any opportunities for community input on finalists, which I hope they will.
