In its infinite wisdom they have decided to send our prebate checks directly to the towns, rather than directly to us the way that they always did.

What that means to me personally is that since I have been having that tax escrowed all year it will be paid by the mortgage company to the town again. I have been asking the secretary of state and other knowledgeable people for suggestions, but nobody seems to have an answer for how to keep this double payment from happening, or how to get the overpayment sent to me.

This is a foolish bill and should definitely be revoked. There seems to be no provision for what those of us who escrow our taxes should do. Any ideas out there?
