I had to drive out of town on Wednesday night and waited until the snow ended at 7:30 p.m. I was absolutely horrified that the roads which hadn't seen heavy snow since mid afternoon were barely passable. It took one hour to get out to exit 9 on I-89 in Middlesex.

The interstate was equally horrendous. I understand that budgets are tight and inclement weather is unpredictable. But this was far from driving into the eye of the storm. The storm was over and had been for hours.

What's equally troubling was the second I entered New Hampshire (a state that I am far from enamored with) the roads were entirely bare.

Let's do a better job of keeping our roads plowed and safe for ourselves! That way we won't have to call Hap's to pull us out of a ditch!
