The Valley Reporter - Mad River Greenway closed during hunting season

This section of the Path is on private property and the landowner has requested that this trail be closed during hunting season. There will be signs and barricades at the access points of the trail. Last year there were people who chose to ignore the signs and ran into the property owner when they were on the path.

In situations where the requests of the landowner are not honored, there is a risk that permission to use this section of the Path will be revoked and the trail will be closed to the public. The west side of the Greenway (behind Small Dog) remains open to the public, as well as the Kingsbury Greenway near Riverside Park in Warren and the Warren Path near the Warren Elementary School. Wearing bright attire (both walkers and pets) while on the open sections of the Path during hunting season is recommended.
