Lawson’s Finest Liquids celebrates its first birthday in the Waitsfield brewery, taproom and retail store with a community party on Saturday, October 19, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Carroll Road brewery.

The festivities will feature numerous specialty beer offerings as well as unique casks and new beer releases including the 100 percent Vermont-grown Homestead Harvest IPA, Starkbier and Fayston Maple Imperial Stout. There will be a brewery open house from noon to 4 p.m. for guests to view the brewing and packaging processes. Guests will also have the opportunity to sample a variety of beers straight from the tank while engaging with the brewery staff.

Free live music in Lawson’s Finest beer garden will take place under the tent from 2 to 4 p.m. with Native Tongue and from 5 to 7 p.m. with Sugar Shack. Black Diamond BBQ will have a food truck on site from 1 to 6 p.m., and the Lawson’s Finest taproom light fare menu will also be available. The Friendly Lens VW Bus photo booth will be on hand from 3 to 6 p.m. to capture birthday party fun and free photos for the whole family.

“Our taproom first birthday party is a way for us to show our gratitude to the community who has supported us in Waitsfield over the previous year. We look forward to further enhancing the vitality of the Mad River Valley as a premier travel destination in the years ahead,” Karen Lawson said.
