This week, the access platform and shoring brackets will be removed and the drain downspouts will be installed.

The 364-foot bridge was closed by the Vermont Agency of Transportation to undergo repairs to the deteriorating deck and failing joints. The bridge remained closed for 24/7 construction from July 20 until last Sunday.

Traffic was detoured on Route 100 north toward Waterbury, then onto Route 2 east toward Middlesex. The Moretown Common Road was open to local traffic only. The state is following through with their agreement to grade the town road at no expense to the town.
