September 2, 1972 – February 24, 2018

jason hlatky OBIT webA young, vibrant boy raised in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Among other things, Jason was a multitalented musician and a prolific writer, singer and performer of countless soulful, moving songs with his brother Ian. Jason could play a real game of Frisbee at age 3 and was a force to be reckoned with on the baseball diamond, the card table, the tennis court, the basketball court, the golf course, at Mad River and in business. He qualified and competed in the U.S. Mid Am Championship USGA 2002. He planned to teach handicap golf and kids golf at Pinehurst in 2018.

Jason’s passion for anything that required hand-eye coordination, math and rhythm was where he shined. His large presence was soft toward children and animals. He appreciated beautiful cars, beautiful places and kind-hearted people. Jason had a huge heart, ready to offer a listening ear and kind uplifting word to the downtrodden even when he himself was.

He will be remembered for all these wonderful things; sadly gone too soon, he will be missed.

Please join us in celebrating Jason on Sunday, September 2, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Couples Club Field, Waitsfield, VT. Dress is casual, light snacks provided, bring your stories, memories, and let's make a joyful noise!

In lieu of flowers, please make any form of donations to a very worthy cause that is close to my heart, Hannah's House. You can find them on the web at www.hannahshousevt.com.
