Alice Enegren ObituaryAlice L. Enegren passed away at Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin on June 3, 2020, her 79th birthday. Born in Flushing, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Dryburgh) Kiernan. On June 5, 1966, she married Roy Enegren in Flushing, NY.

Alice was a graduate of Jamaica High School in Queens, NY, and continued her education becoming a licensed beautician. Alice served her many loyal customers on Long Island as a beautician before moving to the Mad River Valley. Building a vacation home in Waitsfield in 1968 and becoming full-time residents in 1972, Alice went to work providing child care at the Valley Day School. More recently Alice worked as a cashier for Mehuron’s Market in Waitsfield.

Alice enjoyed transporting cars to Florida for her snowbird friends and spending time soaking up the sun and surf at the ocean.

Alice is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roy Enegren of Waitsfield; her brother, Charles Kiernan and his wife Patricia of Flushing, NY; her canine best friend, Tasha; as well as extended family. Alice was predeceased by a sister, Deborah Ann Kiernan, on January 2, 2003.
