Jeanne Louis Thomas crossed over the rainbow bridge early in the morning on May 2, 2020. Jeanne graduated from both Saint Michael’s College in Burlington, VT, and Cazenovia College in Cazenovia, NY. Although her degree was in psychology, she focused her attention on animals and spent many years working with them. She was a sensitive soul who cared deeply about and loved God, animals and the planet. Jeanne was very involved in Sacred Heart Church in Punta Gorda, FL, where she lived. She sang alto in their wonderful choir. Jeanne was dealt a lot of difficult cards in life and found solace in church, pets, friends and family. Before she got too ill, she was a regular volunteer at the local St. Vincent DePaul charity. She often reminisced about what she considered one of the best periods of her life when she lived in Sugarbush, VT, and worked and skied on the mountain. She gave a loving home to many, many animals over the years and loved to sing. She will be dearly missed. She was the best little sister anyone could ever have.

She leaves behind her mother Linda Thomas (who sadly passed June 12, 2020), sister Mary Elizabeth Thomas (Fredric), sister Debra Thomas Burhans and Debra’s children Molly Burhans and Oscar Elliot, Aunt Melissa and Uncle Gary, and loving cousins and relatives in Vermont.
