Todd Sheinfeld

Todd Douglas Sheinfeld, 61, passed away on February 17, 2025, in Waitsfield, Vermont. He was born on October 16, 1963, in Boston, Massachusetts, and was a graduate of Framingham North High School (Framingham, MA) and Champlain College (Burlington, VT). Todd lived a life marked by generosity, passion, and a deep commitment to those around him.

A lifelong avid skier, Todd made the Mad River Valley his home. He built a people-oriented career starting in medical practice management throughout the state. His professional journey reflected his dedication to improving health care systems and supporting the well-being of others. In the last decade of his life, he found renewed purpose and joy as a master ski boot fitter at Mountain Side Ski Service in Warren, Vermont. There, he combined technical expertise with his lifelong love for skiing – jsharing that enthusiasm with customers and friends alike. Todd will be remembered by his sharp-witted comments and thoughtful explanation of all things skiing to those who frequented the shop.

Todd’s warm-weather passion was motorcycles. He was a member of the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council, a founding member of Vermont Trail Riders Association (VETRA) and later Cycle Conservation Club of Vermont (CCCofVT), and a longstanding member of FAHQ Racing. His zeal for riding dirt bikes led him to drive legislative efforts to legalize trail riding in Vermont. Todd’s enthusiasm for all motorcycles led him to become a certified motorcycle safety instructor so that he could share the thrill of riding with others.

Whether navigating winding roads, a gnarly, steep, muddy single track in the woods, or carving down snowy slopes, Todd embraced adventure with open arms. His love for travel further reflected his curious spirit and appreciation for life’s diverse experiences.

Those who knew Todd remember him as a kind and generous soul – always ready to lend a hand or offer support when it was needed most. His warmth extended to everyone he encountered and left lasting impressions on countless lives.

Todd is lovingly remembered by his life partner, Lisa Hewitt; his mother, Ann Squires Erickson; his brother, Geoffrey Sheinfeld; and his children, Parker Hale Sheinfeld Herlihy and Jascha Anne Sheinfeld Herlihy, as well as their mother, Annemarie Furey. He was predeceased by his father, Gary Sheinfeld.

May Todd’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire acts of kindness and adventure. A funeral service will be held on June 13, 2025, from noon to 1 p.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, 6305 Main Street, Waitsfield, VT 05673.
