It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of , age 63, who left us peacefully on March 12, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancerRandy’s life was a beautiful blend of hard work, laughter, and love. Born October 3, 1962, in Montpelier to Alice (LaFleur) and Raymond H. Farnsworth, Randy grew up in Moretown, where he built lifelong friendships and deep community roots.

Randy’s happiest moments were spent with family and friends — whether lending a hand on a project, deer camp nights, or simply working in the garden he so carefully tended. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, and his generosity extended to everyone he met.

He found joy in woodworking, auto body work, fishing, hunting, and watching NASCAR and working on the race car for Thunder Road. In his younger years, he proudly served on the fire department.

Randy leaves behind his loving wife, Renee; children Colby & wife Joellen, Colin, and Brittany; siblings Linda, Suann, Lisa, and Mike; sister- and brother-in-law Robin and Brad; and many nieces and nephews who he adored. He was predeceased by his parents, Alice and Raymond, whose love and values shaped the man he became.

A service will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 56 South Main Street, Waterbury, on Saturday April 4th, 2026 at 11 am, with calling hours at Perkins-Parker Funeral Home 48 South Main Street, Waterbury on Friday April 3, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private, and a Celebration of Life will take place in July.

Randy’s legacy is one of hard work, kindness, loyalty, and the joy of simple moments. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Randy’s memory may be made to Northfield Ambulance, Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, or the Central Vermont Humane Society.
