Raymond E. Dubie,  92, of Waterbury, died at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin on Saturday, June 9, 2007. Born in Websterville on December 9, 1914, he was the son of the late Fred and Cora (Pelkey) Dubie. On July 1, 1942, he married the former Marjorie Moore in Richmond, Quebec. Mrs. Dubie died on December 17, 1985.

Raymond was a graduate of the Austine School for the Deaf in Brattleboro and as a young man, worked at the former Pilgrim Plywood in Waterbury. He later was employed at the Vermont State Hospital from which he retired. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family.

A graveside committal service will be held from the Waterbury Center Cemetery on Saturday, June 16, 2007, at 11 a.m. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers would be appreciated to the Waterbury Area Senior Center, 14 Stowe Street, Waterbury VT 05676. The Perkins-Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Waterbury is assisting the family.
