Wilson T. "Bill" O'Keefe, 89, of Lincoln Gap Road, Warren, passed away in the comfort of his home and family on Tuesday, July 3, 2007. Born at home in Brighton, MA, he was the second of four children of the late Frank W. and Eva (Gardner) O'Keefe. On September 5, 1940, he married the former Eleanor Long in Allston, MA. Eleanor predeceased Bill on April 27, 1991.

Bill was a 1936 graduate of Boston English High School and went on to have a long and distinguished career with the Polaroid Corp., retiring in 1980 after 44 years of employment. An avid history buff, he was also a noted raconteur who could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere at anytime.

He is survived by his children, Anne O'Keefe de Bever of Richmond Hill, Ontario, and Thomas O'Keefe of Warren; a sister, Marjorie O'Keefe of Kennebunk, ME; as well as two grandsons, two nephews and two nieces.

Graveside services will be held from the Warren Village Cemetery on Tuesday, July 10, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts would be appreciated to Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, 600 Granger Road, Barre, VT 05641. The Perkins-Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Waterbury is assisting the family.
