Nellie M. Pierce of Campton, NH, passed away on March 12, 2008, at the William P. Clough care facility in New London, NH.

She was born June 21, 1933, to Dennis A. Thayer and Delia M. Greenslit. She attended the Warren Village School and was a 1951 graduate of the old Waitsfield High School. She worked at the Pitcher Inn and babysat several children.

In 1952, she went to Shrewsbury, MA, where she worked for the McGraildes family and in 1953 she met and married William Landry and spent time raising her family. After her divorce in the late 70s she moved to Groton, VT, where she worked as a courier for the banks from Wells River, VT, to Lisbon, NH.

In 1982, she married Roger Pierce of Campton, NH, and lived there until she entered the nursing home in New London.

Nellie is survived by her four children: Peter Landry and his wife Geraldine of Chandler, AZ, Steven Landry and his wife Linda of New Hampshire, Dale Landry and his wife Christi of Douglas, MA, and Audrey Landry of Bristol, NH; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Landry of Chandler, AZ, Michael, Brian and Eric Landry of Manchester, NH, Casey and Samantha Landry of Douglas, MA, Cherie Foster and her husband Jason and Christopher Ray of Massachusetts; two sisters, Priscilla Robinson and her husband Richard of Warren, VT, and Margaret Theobald and her husband George of Warren; three nephews and many cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, her ex-husband, her husband and a sister.
