She was born in Hancock on October 12, 1942, the daughter of George and Vivian (Rattie) Comes. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1959 and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, flea markets, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her three sons, Lonnie Murray, Eric Murray, both of Barre, and Michael Murray of Belgrade, Montana; two sisters, Joanne Lanpher of Hancock and Sharon Wood of Fort Meyers; a brother, Larry Comes of Bristol; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews; preceded by her parents and her brother Eugene Comes.
A memorial grave site service will be held at Hancock Cemetery, Sunday, August 31, 2008, at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
