Theodore William Geiser Esq., 83, a longtime New Jersey trial attorney, passed away at the home of his son, Ted Geiser Jr. in Warren, VT, on Sunday evening, August 3, 2008, following a period of declining health. Born in Newark, NJ, on June 1, 1925, he was the son of the late Alwyn E. and Christine (Eadie) Geiser.

A graduate of Belleville (NJ) High School, Theodore served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII. Following his discharge he did his undergraduate work at Rutgers University and continued there to earn his law degree.

Theodore's life was centered on the practice of law. In 1959 he became a founding member of the firm McElroy, Connell, Foley and Geiser, located in Newark, NJ, and later of Roseland, NJ. He was a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Bar Association.

Theodore is survived by his children, Christine Geiser of Manhattan, NY, and Theodore W. "Ted" Geiser Jr. and his wife Heidi of Warren, VT; two grandchildren, Kerry Stevens and Kelly Sibert; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Geiser.
