David E. Fleury, 43, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin on Saturday evening, December 6, 2008. Born in Montpelier on October 27, 1965, he was the son of Frederick F. and Anne (Wheeler) Fleury. On April 13, 1985, David married Elizabeth Borland in Barre.

David was educated at Harwood Union High School in Duxbury and as a young man, worked in the construction field as a carpenter. He later embarked on a career in mechanical insulation and has been employed for the past 10 years by New England Air Systems of Williston.

He was a special person who enjoyed many things, like hunting and fishing with his boys, to cutting up deer with his dad or helping his parents with odd jobs around their home, or anyone else who was in need. His quiet times included watching Jeff Gordon race, the Boston Red Sox play, or simply talking with his daughter on the phone for long periods of time. He also spent a lot of time with his sisters and was a devoted and loving father to his children. He has touched many people's lives and will be greatly missed.

David is survived by his parents, Fred and Anne Fleury of Waterbury; his children, Nicole Fleury of Barre, David E. Fleury Jr. of Waterbury, and Cory Fleury of Waterbury; his maternal grandmother, June Wheeler of Holiday, FL; two sisters, Donna Fleury of So.
