Assunta "Sue" Langevin, 84, of Long Street, Barre, passed away at 4:16 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Koppel, PA, on December 1, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Camillo and Rosaria (Pisano) Cappelletti.

She attended elementary school in Koppel, PA. At an early age the family moved to Barre where she continued her education and was a graduate of Spaulding High School, class of 1941.

On May 10, 1947, she married Norman K. Langevin in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre and she has always made her home on Long Street. Norman passed away on January 8, 2007.

She was employed at the former People's National Bank on Main Street in Barre and later was employed as a bookkeeper for Apex Memorials.

Her memberships include St. Monica Catholic Church of Barre where she was a leader of Bible study classes; she was a very active participant of Cursillo since 1970; she also helped her husband to ensure the success of the Washington County Association of the Blind, where they hosted annual picnics at their camp in Fayston. She also enjoyed getting together with her sewing group, "Buon Amice" (meaning good friends). She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Survivors include four children, Mark N. Langevin and his fiancé Beverly Cluff of Randolph; Dorathy M. Langevin of North Fayston; Nancy S. Fecteau and her husband Theodore of Barre Town; and Paul Langevin and his wife Jeanette of Johnson; 10 grandchildren, Jenny Langevin, Jared Langevin, Christina Bouffard, Anna Reiner, Anthony Fecteau, Camilla Fecteau, Rosemary Fecteau, Daniel Langevin, Mary Langevin and David Langevin; two great-grandchildren, Robert Lutin and Shane Langevin.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated January 14, 2009, in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre.  Burial followed the mass in Hope Cemetery in Barre.
