Donald Warren Gould, 80, of Glades Drive, Warren, VT, and formerly of Melrose, MA, passed away at the Mayo Healthcare Nursing Home in Northfield, VT, on Thursday, February 11, 2010. Born in Quincy, MA, on July 21, 1929, he was the son of the late Warren and Esther (Hoyt) Gould. In 1951, Donald married the former Josephine Henschel who predeceased him in 2008.

Donald graduated from Lincoln Academy in Damariscotta, ME, and continued his education at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME. Joining the U.S. Army, Donald served his country during the Korean War. Following his discharge from the military, Donald joined his family's business in Boston, the Legislative Reporting Service on Beacon Hill, and continued its operation for over 30 years, from which he retired. He was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Melrose, MA, and in his leisure time he enjoyed canoeing, bicycling, singing in the church choir as well as playing the piano.

His children, Ellen Gould-Silcott, and her husband, Tom, of Van Nuys, CA, and David Gould and his wife, Sandra Cardosi, of Warren, VT, as well as his three grandchildren survive Donald.
