Alyce Janeen LaVanway, the seventh child of Albert and Zelda (Hartshorn) LaVanway Jr., started her life journey in Berlin, VT, on July 31, 1975, and that journey ended all too soon on July 28, 2011, in Longwood, FL, at the age of 35. She moved with family to Florida at the age of 4 and graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High in 1993 where she was manager of the wrestling team, on the basketball team and won two creative artist ribbons with her artistic ability. Alyce lived her life smiling and serving others in her waitress career. She now can enjoy her dance with her daddy who passed in August 2009; her high school buddy, Kenny Evans, who passed in June 1991; and her beloved pet “Deogee” who passed in 2007. She takes with her a smile that will never be forgotten and leaves a deep love that will remain forever with those of us who knew her.

Devoted friend, sister and daughter, Alyce is survived by her mother, Zelda LaVanway of Fayston; brothers, Maurice and wife Barb of Duxbury, Wendall of St. Augustine, FL, Glenn of Waitsfield, Kevin and wife Paige of Duxbury, Chris and fiancé Myrna of Winter Park, FL, and sister Darleen of Oviedo, FL.
