Sugarbush Resort, home to 37 lift-served mountain bike trails, is hosting a number of bike-related events this summer. Along with more than 40 miles of cross-country terrain throughout the Mad River Valley, Sugarbush is a must-visit destination for mountain bikers.

Later this month the resort teams up for the second year in a row with the Vermont Mountain Bike Association, Mad River Riders, Waterbury Trail Alliance and Green Mountain Trails to host the Vermont Mountain Bike Festival Friday, July 21, through Sunday, July 23.

Open to the public and to riders of all abilities, the festival will have guided rides throughout The Valley as well as a base of operations full of vendors and other activities at Sugarbush’s Mt. Ellen. The festival will also have a free kickoff party Friday night open to the public with music, cornhole, food trucks, mountain biking skill games and drink.

Sugarbush is also hosting several female-focused mountain bike events throughout the summer. SheJumps Women’s Downhill Day on July 30 has group rides focused on both beginner and intermediate skills and includes tickets, rentals, group rides and lunch. The resort is also hosting Damsels in Dirt – a free recurring clinic designed to bring the female riding community together. Led by former professional downhill racer, Ali Zimmer, beginner and intermediate clinics are available July 14, July 28, August 11 and August 25.
