To The Editor:

As a veteran I would like to thank the towns in Vermont who are showing respect and caring to the veterans who pledged to give their lives to protect the rights of all Americans by flying flags of this country in their towns, until Trump says otherwise.

However, one town in The Valley seems to have chosen not to display flags I guess because of expense. Waitsfield is flagless, I grew up in this town and am now ashamed to say that, and to Waitsfield Telcom who promised me when I retired that they would make sure the flags were flown. Promises are short-lived. It's time to act like adults and keep promises made before respect will be granted.
