To The Editor:

As a follower of the upcoming election, I see three viable candidates for our district’s two House seats: Ed Read, Maxine Grad and Kari Dolan. They are all decent people, but Maxine and Kari show more potential for progress than Ed.

Maxine has a 100 percent voting record for bills that positively affect constituents’ lives, aiding the people of Vermont. She deserves an opportunity to continue serving us. Ed’s record includes no raise of the minimum wage. He says that’s good economics. To me, it’s poor business management, holding employees to poverty wages. Kari’s 20-plus years of public service tells a lot about her values: coaching kids’ soccer and lacrosse, advocating for important economic advances as Vermont’s Clean Water Initiative program manager, and Waitsfield Select Board member. Kari is smart, knowledgeable and full of positive energy. That’s why I’m voting for Maxine and Kari.
