To the Editor:
I'm writing to let the voters of Fayston know that I am running as a write-in candidate for justice of the peace. As a middle school social studies teacher who promotes civics in my classroom, I feel it is important to “practice what I teach.”
For those of you who don't know me, I grew up in Fayston, left for college and an AmeriCorps year in CA and a few years of teaching in NH and NC. A few years ago, I decided to return to the area and my appreciation of The Valley's sense of community continues to grow. I believe that I have the integrity and sense of responsibility necessary to serve as justice of the peace and would appreciate your write-in vote to support my becoming a justice of the peace.
Even more, I encourage you all to get out to the polls on November 6 and vote.
