To The Editor:

On my last three-day visit to our “second home” my family shopped at the following businesses: a toy store, a gas station, two delis, a pizza shop, a hardware store, two grocery stories and a hamburger restaurant. In the January 17 issue, Jon Jamieson states, “The LOT is essentially going to keep the taxes down and going to put some of the burden on people who come here and use our community and facilities.” I guess I should feel lucky, Jon, to pay only an 88 percent share of this burden.

I have an idea for Ms. Dolan and the rest of the board members to consider. From now on we will gas up before visiting, buy items we need on Amazon, bring groceries with us and cook in. How does this sound?
