To the individual who shattered my daughter's passenger window on Sunday, August 9.

My daughter parked her car at the Common Road parking area, as we often do,

to go for a run last week.  While she was gone, you shattered her passenger

window and took her purse, money, ID and other cards, along with the most

precious item:  a photo of her father Eric, who died not too long ago.

I'm so sorry that you were in such a state that you were compelled to damage her car,

steal her purse, and take her personal items.  I suspect you are in great pain,

and that you are unable to discern the magnitude of the violation you caused.

Please know that there are resources that might help you:

And if you still have the photo of her late father, please send it to me, or to the Valley Reporter and they'll get it to her.

There is so much help out there for you, and I wish you well as you seek it.
