Local photographer features Mad River Valley dogs on new blog

Rebecca “Becky” Silbernagel, the photographer and graphic designer for the Valley Arts Foundation (VAF), recently began a new blog, wagmorevt.com. Her blog features portraits of Mad River Valley dogs and their stories, along with beautiful images of her dogs. Silbernagel, Fayston, will continue her work with the VAF.

In addition to her photography skills, Silbernagel has extensive writing and editing experience. “This project allows me to combine my love of photography, storytelling and dogs,” she explained.

“I was inspired by my three dogs, the countless dog postings on FPF and the straight-up format of the popular Humans of NY blog. Everybody has a tale to tell and dog owners love to talk about their dogs: What if I asked my friends and neighbors to tell their stories through their dogs? I’ve really enjoyed hearing the stories from the folks who’ve participated – I’ve learned something new about each one. After a bit of tweaking, I am happy to announce that wagmorevt.com is whelped.”

Wagmorevt.com publishes weekly. To subscribe, visit the blog site, scroll down to the end and click on the “+” to add an email address. People and their dogs who would like to participate in the blog can contact Silbernagel through the blog or contact her at This email address is being protected from spambots.
