An intense nor’easter left The Valley with over a foot of new snow on Sunday and Monday, February 12 and 13, covering local ski slopes with fresh powder for Valentine’s Day and the coming weekend.

Both Sugarbush and Mad River Glen offered $14 lift tickets for Valentine’s Day. High winds kept Sugarbush closed (except for the Castlerock chair for those who wanted to hike up) on Monday, February 13, but Mad River Glen was able to open and its parking lot was completely full.

Both ski resorts have special holiday events planned for the weekend and the following week.
